He was lyricist and singer of Os Quinindiolas. He published Seis cordas e un corazón under the pseudonym Roque Morteiro, a work that won the Consorcio de Santiago award for crime novels in 1989. The following year, in 1990, he published the book Non hai Misericordia, with which he won the Ciudad de Lugo fiction award. On the other hand, he was a founding partner of the Editorial Positiva publishing house and directed the magazine Anima + I during the first year. With the work Os saltimbanquis no paraíso he won the 'San Clemente de lectors novos' award in its IV edition, in the Galician novel category.
