Galán, Ana

Ana Galán was born in Oviedo and spent her childhood and much of her youth in Madrid, where she studied veterinary medicine. In 1989, she went to New York to continue her training, but after the birth of her first child, her professional career took a radical turn and she began to cultivate her other passion, children's literature. Ana worked for more than ten years as director of publications in Spanish with the Scholastic publishing house. In 2008, she decided to take the big step and dedicate herself to writing, developing editorial projects and doing translations on her own. She is the author of numerous children's books, in Spanish and English, novels for teenagers and humor books for adults. When she is not in front of her computer, Ana dedicates herself to training guide dogs for the blind. She also works with an NGO in the Dominican Republic, DREAM Project, helping to promote reading and writing to more than eight thousand children.
