Gómez Ojea, Carmen

She was born in Gijón, in 1945. She has been writing since she was a child. She has received important awards for her works for adults, including the Tigre Juan in 1981, the Nadal award for Cantiga de Agüero in the same year and in 1993 she received the Carmen Conde Poetry award. Also in 1993, and already directing for a children's and Young adult audience, she won the Ala Delta Award for La Niña de Plata. She also won the award Edebé of Young Adult Literature for Carola's Dictionary, in 1996, and an honorary diploma from the CCEI for Minor Words.
