Osés, Beatriz

Beatriz Osés (Madrid, 1972) is a writer, literature teacher and a journalist. She has received two awards on educational innovation and several literary awards such as 2006 Lazarillo Award, 2008 Ciudad de Orihuela International Children’s Poetry Award, 2010 La Brújula Young Adult Novel Award, 2018 edebé Children’s Literature Award for Soy una nuez (a work that has crossed many borders in translation and has also been adapted to a playscript) and in 2019 and 2020 SM Barco de Vapor Award. Beatriz Osés is also the author of the bestselling YA series Erik Vogler and the children series Brain McNeill. Her work has been translated so far to Catalan, French, Italian, Russian, Polish, Slovenian, Galician, Persian, Korean, Euskara and Turkish, as well as in Spanish for Mexico and Ecuador.
