Mireia Vidal (Barcelona, 1972) has a degree in Geography and History, specialising in Art History. Daughter of a bookseller, she has been attracted to reading and stories since she was a child.

She began her professional career working in the film industry as an assistant director, but soon focused on screenwriting, collaborating on feature films, series, and children’s programs, which she combines with teaching Screenwriting. Her literary career as a writer of illustrated albums and children’s novels began in 2017, and in 2020, she won the Serra d’Or Critics’ Award.

Furthermore, she especially likes cats, cows, tree branches, tea, a ray of sunshine in winter and a good downpour in summer.
