Alex Omist was born in Barcelona in 1974. He studied Graphic Design at the Elisava School of Barcelona. After finishing his degree he worked as a graphic designer and illustrator in several publishing houses and advertising agencies. In 2006 he illustrated his first story and discovered what would become his great passion: drawing for children. Since then, he has published several books for children and young people, including the edebe series «Los casos del Inspector Cito» (translated into 13 languages). In 2010, he won the Apel-les Mestre award.
