Biography
Canals, Cuca

Cuca Canals has a degree in journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Until 1992 she worked in advertising, winning the most important national and international awards. As a screenwriter she has worked with Bigas Luna on many of his films, such as Jamón-Jamón (Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival) and La Camarera del Titanic (Goya Award for best screenplay) to name just a couple. She has published four adult fiction novels and several children’s books, among which stand out for their success among readers, her middle grade series The Young Poe and Philo & Sophia.
