Mr. Rutin lives a quiet and methodical life in his native town, Visby, on the Swedish island of Gotland. He works as a receptionist of a hotel, his beautiful wife loves him and his twin sons are the joy of his life. Nevertheless, all of the sudden, he realises that something isn’t working. “Am I bored?” he wonders and, suddenly, he decides that he needs a change, a change that will give him a brand new life.
David Nel·lo Colom (Barcelona, 1959) publicó su primer libro, L’Albert i els menjabrossa, en 1994. Desde entonces ha escrito más de cuarenta títulos para lectores pequeños y mayores. Asimismo, sus méritos literarios han sido reconocidos con numerosos premios, entre los que destacan el Premio Edebé de Literatura Infantil con las novelas La nueva vida del señor Rutin (2014) y La crónica de Ivo Cukar (2020), el Premi Prudenci Bertrana de novela (2017) y el Premi Sant Jordi de novela (2019). Muchas de sus obras están situadas en otros países, fruto de sus estancias en el extranjero, y se han traducido a diferentes idiomas. Actualmente vive en Barcelona, donde sigue escribiendo y traduciendo.
