Meet Anna, a bright and resourceful young girl whose parents, a busy business couple, barely have time to look after her. One day, while gazing out her window, she notices a homeless man setting up a tent across the street. Curious and kind-hearted, Anna befriends him, and together they form an unlikely bond.
As their friendship grows, Anna gets in trouble and asks him to pretend to be his father at a talk in front of her class. The homeless man is not keen on lying but at the end he decides to help her as she has been so kind to him. But that's not it, somehow and due to a bunch of more funny misunderstandings, the man ends up becoming the coach of Anna's struggling soccer team. The team's morale and skills start to improve, but the fun doesn't stop there. A Syrian refugee woman soon joins the mix, pretending to be Anna's mother, adding to the delightful chaos.
