Biography
Fernández Paz, Agustín

He was born in Vilalba (Lugo) and has lived in Vigo for twenty years. In addition to being an Industrial Expert, he is a Master and Graduate in Educational Sciences. For more than three decades, he worked as a primary and secondary school teacher. Currently, he dedicates himself exclusively to writing. He is the author of numerous titles, aimed preferably at children and young readers. His books, written in Galician, are usually translated into other Spanish languages. In addition to such relevant awards as the Lazarillo or the National Literature Award, he has also obtained the EDEBÉ Award, both in its Young Adult Modality and in its Children's Modality. In 2011, he was selected as a Spanish candidate for the prestigious Andersen award.
