In the village of Mali Okič, near Slovenia’s border with Croatia, Ursha arrives with her parents and younger brother to spend a week’s holiday at her grandparents’ cottage in the middle of the forest. She has experienced many emotions there, including the fear she experienced when her mother was confronted by a bear that wanted to eat the cake she had left on the windowsill. However, none as intense as the one she experienced on that occasion... This is how she remembers it years later.
Juan Kruz Igerabide nació en Aduna (Gipuzkoa) en 1956. Estudió Magisterio y es licenciado en Filología Hispánica y doctor en Filología Vasca. Ejerció la docencia en Educación Primaria y Secundaria durante varios años, y en la Universidad del País Vasco, donde ha dirigido la cátedra de Mikel Laboa. Ha escrito varios libros para niños y jóvenes, y para adultos, tanto en narrativa como en poesía.
