Tesa, her grandma and great grandma move to an big, old flat. Every night, while she is in her Aunt Dely’s room, Tesa wakes up shaken because of strange and scary noises in the hundred-year-old flat. When everything is silent, it seems that the old flat comes to life and stretches itself making cracks in the beams, furniture and antiques that her grandma and great grandma love. But it’s not the noises that call Tesa’s attention but the strange appearance of a character with red eyes standing at the foot of her bed. Tesa will have plenty of things to discover behind hidden doors, closed balconies and, above all, the mysterious office of her great grandfather where nobody has entered since Tesa’s father was a child. A secret that will break the barriers of family’s mysteries and will take the characters, literally, to another dimension.
Pilar Molina Llorente (Madrid, 1943) es licenciada en Bellas Artes, con estudios de música, filología y psicología. Colaboradora de varias editoriales en libros de arte, lecturas y manualidades para niños y jóvenes, ha traducido diversas obras infantiles y juveniles del italiano y del inglés al español. En 1964 ganó el Premio Doncel de novela por Ut y las estrellas. Con El terrible florentino obtenía el Premio Doncel 1971-1972 en la modalidad de biografía y el Premio CCEI de 1973. Otras obras suyas premiadas son El mensaje de maese Zamaor (Premio Barco de Vapor 1978), Patatita (Lista de Honor de la CCEI 1984), La sombra de la daga (Lista de Honor de la CCEI 1994) También reconocida internacionalmente, su obra El Aprendiz, por ejemplo, ha sido publicada en una decena de lenguas y obtuvo el Premio «Mildred L. Batchelder» y el Premio de la American Library Association.
