EDEBÉ Children's Literature Award 1993:
Acuérdate de los dinosaurios, Ana Maríaby Gabriel Janer Manila

Doctor in Philosophy and Letters, Gabriel Janer Manila is currently a professor at the University of the Balearic Islands.

He has given lectures on Children's and Young Adult Literature and is the author of several books on oral literature and pedagogy.

He was awarded the "Folch i Torres" award in 1975 for his novel El Rei Gaspar, a work declared "of special interest" by the Ministry of Information. In 1983 he won the "Cavall Fort" award for children's theater, and in 1985 the "Serra d'Or" Critics' award for his work El corsar de l'illa dels conills.

For Tot quant veus es el mar he received the award from the Generalitat de Catalunya for the best children's work published in 1987 and the "National award for Children's Literature 1988", awarded by the Ministry of Culture, an award he received again in 1994 for the work. They have cremated the sea.

With Els rius de la lluna he won the “Delta Wing Award” in 1992 and the following year the “Delta Wing Award” Edebé» with Recorda´t dels dinosaures, Anna Maria.

He was proposed as a Spanish candidate for the Andersen award on two occasions, 1990 and 1994.
