Robert Santiago

Roberto Santiago was born on July 5, 1968.
He studied at the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid, until the 5th year.
Likewise, he completed the complete cycle of studies at the Madrid School of Letters.

Television scriptwriter (TV1 and TV2), he wrote scripts and dialogues for variety shows, magazines and musicals for four years; between 1989 and 1993.
Advertising writer for the Madrid agencies Lowe FMS and Diseño 10 since 1993.

Finalist in the latest edition of the El Barco de Vapor Children's Literature award with the novel El thief of lies.
Finalist for the 1996 EDEBÉ award for Children's Literature, with the work The Last Deaf, on whose plot a soon-to-be produced television series is based.

Likewise, he has also published in the publishing house Edebé a Young adult novel with his regular collaborator Jesús Olmo: Forbidden to be fourteen years old.

Lately he has focused on the world of cinema, as a screenwriter and director, but this does not prevent him from continuing to write for young audiences. Thus, in 1999 he won the EDEBÉ award for Children's Literature with his story Jon and the Fear Machine.
