EDEBÉ Children's Literature Award 2008: ¡No es tan fácil ser niño!, by Pilar Lozano Carbayo

Pilar Lozano Carbayo
Born in 1953 in Benavente, province of Zamora, she spent her childhood and youth in Sabadell and currently resides in Madrid.
With a degree in Information Sciences and a diploma in Teaching from EGB, she has developed her professional career as a journalist in specialized magazines and the economic press. She also has experience in writing advertising, tourism and informative texts. In this field she is the author of The Train Book.
She is also the author of teaching guides and informative texts for exhibitions and museums related to the railway.
In 2005 he won the Barco de Vapor award for Children's Literature for Seven Reporters and a Newspaper, a work that has been translated into several languages.
In 2007, his work Manu, Detective, from the Bruño publishing house, was selected in an international competition for publication by the Government of Mexico, which will distribute 92.000 copies in the school library network of that country.
