A huge apartment, more than a hundred years old, in the middle of the city, houses Tesa's new life with her grandmother and great-grandmother. Every night, lying in the very high bed in her aunt Dely's old room, Tesa wakes up startled by the clicking and chilling noises that run through the century-old apartment.
When everything is silent, it seems as if the old building comes to life and stretches, making all its beams, furniture and antiques that your grandmothers adore so much moan and crackle. But it won't be the noises that put Tesa into action. It will be the sight of a strange character with red eyes at the foot of her bed, which awakens her interest in the immense apartment.
There will be a lot to discover behind hidden doors, closed balconies and, above all, in his great-grandfather's mysterious office, which no one has entered since his father was a child.
A secret that crosses the boundaries of family intrigue and takes the characters literally to another dimension.

Synopsis
“I am not afraid and it was not fear that gave me that enormous apartment, more than a hundred years old, that I longed for its greatness very close to the Plaza de Oriente. It gave me respect, boredom and anger; anger because I felt deceived... In my last insomnia I had observed that after three in the morning the creaking, rubbing and clicking noises woke up... Suddenly, a dull flash of lightning illuminated the room for a moment and drew, in backlight, a small figure at the foot of my bed. My heart skipped a beat, my mind wondering if I had seen it or imagined it. Whether it was a dream from my tired sleep or, really, there was someone at the foot of my bed. I reached under the pillow, careful not to move the quilt, and pressed the wooden bulb that turned on the ceiling lamp. I was there! It was only a second, because somehow, it disappeared; but I had time to see her reddish eyes fixed on me with amazement and the silhouette of a flattened head, on which pointed ears were drawn.
Pilar Molina
Pilar Molina Llorente (Madrid, 1943) has a degree in Fine Arts, with studies in music, philology and psychology.
Collaborator for several publishers in art books, readings and crafts for children and young people, she has translated various children's and young people's works from Italian and English into Spanish.
In 1964 he won the Doncel award for novels for Ut and the stars. With The terrible Florentine He obtained the 1971-1972 Doncel award in the biography category and the 1973 CCEI award.
Other of his award-winning works are Master Zamaor's message (Steamboat Award 1978), Potato (CCEI Honor List 1984), The shadow of the dagger (CCEI Honor List 1994)…
Also internationally recognized, his work The newbie, for example, has been published in a dozen languages and won the Mildred L. Batchelder Award and the American Library Association Award.
