Very strange things are happening in Bern’s house. Bern has four legs, dark eyes, abundant white and brown hair and, no doubt, a good brain. The rest of the family are all artists. Margaret, the mother, makes original doormats; the daughter, Luna, loves to crochet, and Dante, the father sings beautifully and cooks, as well as being an amateur entomologist and, above all, a passionate detective.
They all live very peacefully until grandma, Mrs. Moon, shows up with the news that they want to evict her from her house. The rent, very low, included the rumour that the house has a ghost... and it was true! But now the real estate company has kidnapped the ghost to get rid of the old woman. What they ignore is that the family has decided to come to her defence, all the family, including Bern.
An adventure, in which the Bernhardiner is the only one who puts sanity, or at least this is what he thinks:
“My name is Bern, short for Bernhard. I have four legs, dark eyes, abundant hair with white and brown spots on my back. I weigh..., I weigh a lot, but that doesn't matter now. The important thing is that I have a good brain. I'm the only one who thinks in the madhouse I live in. I don't know what they would do in this family without me. I always get them out of the trouble they get into. That's why I want to be the one to tell the story of what happened when Mrs. Moon showed up with a piece of a ghost…”
