The advertisement “Everyday heroes wanted” attracted Carmen’s attention at once. It encouraged people to tell a story of everyday heroism in a competition offering an economic award to the winner. She clicked on the website and read a few stories. All seemed to be extremely sad: a young boy hugging a dog with an eye patch, a girl telling the miserable story of her boyfriend... For Carmen, it was clear that people were trying to win the contest by being melodramatic. However, she didn't want to be pitiful, she wanted just the plain and simple truth. So she went for it. And when she started earning votes for her own story, she was swept into a scary and dishonest proposal. In view of the situation, she had to accept her friends’ help.
