García Cornellá, Dolors

Dolors Garcia i Cornellà (Girona, 1956) has a degree in Psychology and a writer since 1985, when she wrote her first novel. To date, her literature is aimed at children and young adults, having published more than sixty works. She also has more than fifteen literary awards, some of them honorary such as the Serra d'Or Criticism Award, the Young Protagonist or being in the White Ravens selection. Her books for young people stand out for the psychological portrait of her characters and address many of the issues that concern the youth of our society. In children's literature she displays a remarkable level of fantasy and imagination, creating magical worlds intertwined with reality. For more than thirty years she has lived in the small municipality of Vilobí d'Onyar, in Girona.
