Nació en Terrassa (Barcelona) en 1969. Es licenciado en Filología Catalana, profesor de la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona y de la Universidad Ramon Llull. Colabora regularmente en revistas literarias como Cavall Fort y Tretzevents, y en algunos medios de comunicación escrita. Antes de entrar en el campo de la literatura infantil, cultivó la poesía con notable éxito. El año 1994 ganó el premio Cavall Fort de artículos de divulgación.
