Pedro Mañas (Madrid, 1981) has a degree in English Philology from the Autonomous University of Madrid, where in 2004 he won the first award for Brief Narrative. It is also then when he begins his relationship with the university theater, for which he performs dramaturgy and direction. At the end of 2007 he won first award in the “XXVI Vila d'Ibi Children's Narrative Contest”, which marked his first foray into the field of children's literature. In 2008, the Everest publishing house awarded him its “XII Children's Literature award Reading is Living” thanks to the novel Los OTROS (Secret Society). He is also the author of several collections of children's poems, with which he was the winner of the “III El Príncipe Preguntón Children's Poetry award” (convened by the Provincial Council of Granada and the Hiperión Editorial), and the “II Ciudad de Orihuela Children's Poetry award”, convened by the Orihuela City Council and the publishing house Factoría K. Likewise, it has been a finalist for the XVII and XVIII Edition of the Award Edebé of Children's and Youth Literature.
